Sabino Cubano Latte

My most favorite latte ever was from Brewd Coffee Lounge on Sabino Canyon road in Tucson, AZ. I would always order their Sabino Cubano latte. Unfortunately this coffee shop has since closed, so this is my attempt at recreating this amazing latte. It is such a treat! The cinnamon is subtle and the little bit of sugar brewed into the espresso gives it a tiny bit of sweetness. The original recipe includes steamed half and half. For a dairy free version, I also love steaming Oatly brand oat milk barista edition. I use Torani brand vanilla syrup, you can purchase this at most grocery stores. I will link my espresso maker below. I hope you enjoy!

Ingredients (For 1 latte):

  • Approximately 1 1/2 Tbs dry ground espresso

  • 1 packet (or 1 tsp) Sugar In The Raw

  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

  • ~1/2 cup Half and half (or other favorite milk)

  • splash of vanilla coffee syrup

Instructions:

  • Prepare the espresso by putting the cinnamon and sugar in the raw in the dry ground espresso. Brew the espresso.

  • Steam the half half with a splash of the vanilla coffee syrup.

  • Pour steamed half and half into the hot espresso.

  • Enjoy!
