Cilantro Turkey Burgers
Easy weeknight meal idea! A weekly staple in our house. Delicious with guacamole , salsa and/or chipotle mayo, a nice crisp piece of lettuce and your favorite bun! If you’re in a hurry and don’t have time to make guacamole, sometimes I just mash 2 avocados with fresh lime juice and salt!
Cilantro Turkey Burgers
(Makes 8 burgers)
Ingredients:
2 lbs. ground turkey (recommend 85/15, the lower fat options will lead to much drier burgers)
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 bunch cilantro, chopped
1 red onion, minced OR grated
1 Tablespoon chili powder
1 teaspoon sea salt
1/2 teaspoon cracked back pepper
Instructions:
Turn oven to broil. Cover a large sheet pan with parchment paper.
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Mix with your hands until well combined.
Form the mixture into patties. Place on parchment covered pan.
Broil in the oven for ~7-8 mins each side until the internal temperature reached at least 165*F.
Serve with guacamole, lettuce and your favorite bun! (Or other preferred condiments). Enjoy!
