Cilantro Turkey Burgers

Easy weeknight meal idea! A weekly staple in our house. Delicious with guacamole , salsa and/or chipotle mayo, a nice crisp piece of lettuce and your favorite bun! If you’re in a hurry and don’t have time to make guacamole, sometimes I just mash 2 avocados with fresh lime juice and salt!

Cilantro Turkey Burgers

(Makes 8 burgers)

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs. ground turkey (recommend 85/15, the lower fat options will lead to much drier burgers)

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/2 bunch cilantro, chopped

  • 1 red onion, minced OR grated

  • 1 Tablespoon chili powder

  • 1 teaspoon sea salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon cracked back pepper

Instructions:

  • Turn oven to broil. Cover a large sheet pan with parchment paper.

  • Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Mix with your hands until well combined.

  • Form the mixture into patties. Place on parchment covered pan.

  • Broil in the oven for ~7-8 mins each side until the internal temperature reached at least 165*F.

  • Serve with guacamole, lettuce and your favorite bun! (Or other preferred condiments). Enjoy!
